How to Deposit a Check

ALONG WITH YOUR SIGNATURE AND ACCOUNT NUMBER, PLEASE ENDORSE YOUR CHECK AS FOLLOWS:
REMOTE DEPOSIT FOR BENCHMARK FCU

1. In our Mobile Banking App, on the main dashboard screen, click on the Deposit button (row of buttons above Transactions box).

2. The Deposit Check Screen will appear, click the arrow beside Deposit a Check.

3. Check Amount Screen will appear, click in the box to enter your check amount then click Continue.

4. Check Front Screen will appear, position the front of your check within the white corners & tap the screen to capture the picture.  Then a screen with the picture you captured will appear & gives you the option to Retake or Continue.

5. Check Back Screen will appear, position the back of your check within the white corners & tap the screen to capture the picture.  Then a screen with the picture you captured will appear & gives you the option to Retake or Continue.

6.The Review Screen will appear showing the check amount entered and the Account the check will be deposited into; as well as the front & back pictures of your check. If everything is correct, hit Submit to remote deposit your check into your Benchmark Checking Account.

7. You will receive confirmation of your deposit confirming or rejecting the deposit for processing and the confirmation will be send via email to the email address we have on-file in our system.

Friendly Reminders:

  • The credit is not immediate and the confirmation email received does not mean that the deposit may not be rejected at a later date because of dollar amount discrepancy, duplicate check, or any other issues with the check.
  • Checks can be destroyed 10 business days after credit to the account is received.

The above example was completed using  the iPhone App, it may be slightly different for the Android.
